Meet the team: Nicky Griffiths

Meet the latest member of the Delta Comtech support team. Nicky has years of experience in IT support and website maintenance but at weekends you would be more likely to find her hill walking than web surfing.
 


Many of you will already have spoken to the newest member of our team regarding your nightly backups. Nicky Griffiths* has now taken over from Peti Bodnar** in performing the daily checks and monitoring of all client systems.
 

Nicky joins us directly from one of our customers, where she worked for 11 years as the on-site IT support manager. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, she developed and managed her previous organisation’s communications and network systems, which extended to 30 users across 2 offices as well as several remote and temporary sites. She was also responsible for developing and achieving their ISO 9001:2000 quality standard.

Nicky manages a number of her own sites dedicated to walking and places to visit, particularly in the Peak District. Her photography has been displayed at the Royal Opera House.


One of our Directors, Geoff Barratt said: “The transition has been a smooth one as Nicky was already familiar with the way we worked and we knew from experience that she could run a tight and stable system.”

Nicky also possesses a range of web development skills which she has been putting to good use in refining our website. But these skills are also of use to her outside the office. Nicky manages a number of her own sites dedicated to walking and places to visit, particularly in the Peak District. Her photography from those websites has featured in a number of publications including the Encyclopaedia of Wales, Letts Educational text books and has been displayed at the Royal Opera House.

* Nicky Griffiths should not be confused with Nikki Critchlow who has been our Office Manager and Receptionist for many years.

** Peti returned to Hungary at the beginning of the year and is currently working for a support company in Budapest. He sends his regards to all of our customers.
